BreadBuddies is a non-profit initiative founded by Ilse. With this initiative, she wants to create a haven in the form of a bakery. This community place creates jobs for local people. Furthermore, it is a place where people can learn and socialize with each other while baking, selling and enjoying delicious organic bread and more.

Mix The Ingredients
Every project starts with "mixing your ingredients" to make sure everything is in place. Ilse gathered a team of professionals around her to get started. Besides this, she initiated the crowdfund campaign "Brood Nodig" to realize the first steps of her dream.

After mixing all ingredients together, BreadBuddies is currently looking for a bakery and shop in Gambia. This social bakery will be the first achievement of BreadBuddies. But before we can start building, we need your help.

Let The Bread Rest
Resting the bread is one of the essential steps in baking bread. However, for BreadBuddies, it won't be that much "resting". In this phase, we will be operating and beneficiating our first bakery while keeping a sharp eye on our next social bakery.
